Abstract
The ultraviolet radiation (UVR) exposure dose to the eye is strongly affected by the degree of lid opening; hence, the lid openings of 50 subjects under different daylight conditions was measured. A substantial variance was found amongst subjects; however, a relationship was found between the mean degree of lid opening (conversely, closure) and the luminance of the outdoor environment.
