Abstract

Data obtained from different regions in Iran show that urinary calculi form an extraordinarily common problem in this region as compared to the western countries. The fact that the affection was more common in Europe when living standards were lower as well as additional findings in this study suggest that malnutrition is at least one important factor in the pathogenesis of bladder stones in children.
