Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Obsessive-compulsive disorder is a condition with frequent onset in childhood. Neurobiological research shows that OCD is a brain-based condition with neuropsychiatric correlates. Interventions include illness education of the family, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and use of pharmacologic strategies. Prognosis can be favorable with early, directed intervention.
