Traumatic subluxation of an aortic cusp

Abstract

A case of successful treatment of traumatic partial subluxation of a previously normal aortic valve is presented. A review of pertinent literature is made. Emphasis is placed on early recognition of the ruptured valve and its surgical correction by prosthetic replacement.
