Abstract
Results of surgery via the pars plana using the Peyman vitrophage to treat various anterior segment diseases are presented in 125 eyes. Procedures included anterior segment reconstruction following trauma lensectomy for congenital cataract, removal of lens material retained after cataract extraction, and anterior vitrectomy for vitreo-corneal adhesions. Visual acuity improved in 86%, remained unchanged in 9%, and was worse in only 5% of cases.
