Abstract
The patients being cared for in an obstetric recovery room are not always uncomplicated, ASA I patients. Staffing and monitoring capability of the obstetric recovery room should reflect the same standards used in other recovery rooms in the hospital. The unique nature of several obstetric diseases, procedures, and drugs should be well known and understood by those caring for postpartum patients.
