Abstract

Aeroallergens play a major role in the pathogenesis of asthma and allergic rhinitis. Indoor allergens are of particular importance and principally include the allergens of house dust mites, domestic pets, cockroaches, and molds. The relative importance of these different allergens varies in different parts of the world depending on a variety of geographic and climate factors.
