Abstract

Even as the increasing prominence and pervasiveness of the Internet is causing significant changes in many aspects of society, it is also causing significant shifts in the way people think, talk, and act regarding their health and health care. The changes are suggesting such fundamental shifts in the way people experience and providers practice health and health care that it may be best characterized as an iHealth (Internet-Health) revolution. This chapter will discuss the impact of the Internet on the health and healthcare experiences of patients.
