Abstract

The procedure of intramedullary nail placement to secure tibiotalocalcaneal fusion can be demanding. This article describes some of the technical aspects of the procedure and explores common complications. Although the procedure is still relatively new, the experience described here may help others attempting to achieve a secure fusion of the leg to the host.
