Abstract

When a patient with skeletal dysplasia associated with atlantoaxial instability undergoes any type of surgery, The cervical spine must be evaluated Thoracolumbar kyphosis in infants with achondroplasia usually resolves without treatment. The treatment guidelines for scoliosis associated with The skeletal dysplasias are similar to those for idiopathic scoliosis. Foramen magnum stenosis may occur in patients with achondroplasia or hypochondroplasia, resulting in snoring, apnea, other signs/symptoms of brainstem compression, or sudden infant death
