Abstract

Normal-phase high-pressure liquid chromatography analysis on micro-Porasil columns permitted the separation of retinol, retinoic acid, mannose, dolichylmannosylphosphate, mannosylretinylphosphate, dolichylphosphate, and retinylphosphate, in that order, within 30 min. This chromatographic system was used to study the stimulation of mannosylretinylphosphate synthesis by bovine serum albumin with rat liver microsomes.
