Principles and Applications of Vestibular Rehabilitation

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

With normal vestibular function, the body is able to maintain postural and gaze stability with exquisite accuracy. This accuracy occurs in part due to the exceptionally short latencies of the compensatory eye rotation. The purpose of this chapter is to review the essential anatomy of the vestibular system with an emphasis on the neurophysiological tenets responsible for its amazing precision.
