Abstract

Poland’s Syndrome, in the classic sense, is the unilateral absence of the sternocostal head of the pectoralis major muscle, ipsilateral breast hypoplasia, and a concomitant, ipsilateral hand deformity. The syndrome has since evolved to encompass a myriad of anomalies, which rarely present collectively in the same individual. What is consistent in all cases is the congenital absence of the sternocostal head of the pectoralis major muscle, which has become pathognomonic for the disease.
