    Abstract

    Melvin McInnis, a recent graduate from the University of Iceland, is presently a registrar in psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry, Borgarspitalinn. Research interests include studies of dependence liability and long-term efficacy of antiparkinsonian drugs. Hannes Petursson is head of the Department of Psychiatry at Borgarspitalinn. He received his postgraduate training in psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital in London, and was lately senior lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry, University of London. Research interests include studies of the psychopharmacology of benzodiazepines, lithium and antiparkinsonian drugs, as well as studies in the field of forensic psychiatry.
