N2 - It is becoming increasing clear that nuclear lipid metabolism, including the elevation of nuclear diglycerides, will play an important role in signal transduction cascades. Furthermore, further studies to elucidate the precise role of specific Gβγ dimers in these cascades will provide greater insight into how these cascades are modulated by different mitogens. Importantly, determining the nature of the apparent PC-PLC activity and its role in regulating cell growth is clearly required.
