Periodic psychosis of puberty: A case report

Abstract

The authors describe an adolescent girl admitted to an inpatient psychiatric service with symptoms of periodic psychosis, which she experienced several days before each menses. She was treated with medroxyprogesterone acetate, and the episodes have not recurred for a year.
