Abstract

Two hundred three eyes obtained postmortem from 186 persons who had undergone lens implant surgery were examined. The major histopathologic changes in these eyes were erosion, atrophy, proliferation, and inflammation of anterior segment structures. These features are categorized and illustrated for each lens type.
