Part 2: Implementing clinical trials: A review of the attributes of exemplary clinical trial sites

This two-part article was developed on the basis of an education session at the 2010 ASCO Annual Meeting and aims to provide practical advice to investigators and their teams who want to implement one, or all, of the attributes of exemplary clinical trial sites. These voluntary attributes were developed by ASCO in 2008 to provide guidance to investigators who want to exceed the good clinical practice guidelines. ASCOrecognizes that research sites that want to implement the exemplary attributes may be limited by insufficient resources. Acknowledging this challenge, the ASCO Cancer Foundation has developed grant and award opportunities related to the exemplary attributes.
