Abstract

Cancellation of QRS-T complexes from an ECG should highlight P-waves, and therefore be of aid in automated arrhythmia analysis. This is achieved by using an adaptive filter to build a template of the QRS-T complex, and subtract it from the ECG signal. The filter uses impulse signals correlated in time with the QRS-T complexes. The theory and examples of the performance of the impulse-correlated filter are presented.
