Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Opiate receptor mechanisms are thoroughly reviewed under 5 topics that elucidate the chemistry and neurophysiology of opiate like substances and their antagonists. This is accompanied by a brief model of opiate receptor function and a discussion of future research. An excellent bibliography includes recent clinical and experimental material. Correlating facts and theories of many investigators occur through numerous tables and figures. (De Boer - Grand Forks, N. Dak.)
