OCT assessment of subsquamous barrett's epithelium

Abstract

We demonstrate OCT can accurately distinguish subsquamous Barrett's epithelium (SBE) from surrounding tissue using freshly excised human esophagi. Detection sensitivity and specificity of SBE and high-grade dysplasia will also be discussed.
