Abstract

1. 1. Benign polyps of the distal esophagus, if untreated, may be fatal. 2. 2. Thoracotomy with simple excision is curative and carries a low mortality. 3. 3. This report describes the unique occurrence of a polypoid eosinophilic granuloma partially obstructing the distal esophagus.
