Abstract

Patients with choroidal neovascularization generally present with reduced vision and often complain of metamorphopsia, related to retinal distortion by a pigment epithelial detachment, by subretinal fluid, or by cystoid macular edema, or of scotomata, which are frequently produced by subretinal hemorrhages.
