Abstract
The cause of the development of myomas is unclear and the relationship of myomas to infertility is poorly understood. Uterine myomas represent an isolated potential contributory cause of infertility, and multifactorial infertility is common. This article focuses on the relationship between myomata uteri and infertility, the mechanisms by which myomas may cause infertility, current treatment modalities, and subsequent pregnancy rates.
