Myelin and its abnormalities

Abstract

This review starts with a brief outline about what myelin is, what it does, and how it is formed. Attention is then turned to newer methods of studying myelination in vitro. Finally, diseases which can affect myelin are commented upon and advances which have occurred over the last few years are pointed out.
