Abstract

When newly diagnosed with prostate cancer, a patient has to decide whether to be treated and which treatment modality to undergo. These decisions depend on many factors including the patient’s clinical tumor stage, tumor grade from a biopsy specimen, serum prostatespecific antigen (PSA) level, overall health status, life expectancy, and the potential outcomes of treatment modality.
