Abstract

While the incidence of bilateral benign cystic teratomas has been reported to be between 4 to 25%, the occurrence of multiple benign cystic teratomas in one ovary is unusual. Two cases are reported as well as a review of the literature. The incidence appears to be considerably less than 1% of all cases.
