Abstract
A patient with Menétrièr disease is presented in whom gastric wall thickening was diagnosed on computed tomography (CT). The one previous case report of CT in Menétrièr disease had a normal wall thickness. Many processes may thicken the wall of the stomach including lymphoma and adenocarcinoma. The differential diagnosis of diffuse gastric wall thickening should be expanded to include Menétrièr disease. In many cases CT will aid in the separation of benign and malignant disease by showing extragastric extension of disease or adenopathy. At the present time, however, endoscopy and biopsy are still necessary to make the final diagnosis.
