Abstract

The authors sent and collected the questionnaires to medical doctors, in order to determine the parameters of a clinical information system. They asked their views, expectations and requirements. The informants were 151 doctors in 17 hospitals. The needs were functions such as retrieval of patient data from a clinical database. Other needs for the future are new technics such as terminals with well designed man-machine interfaces, network systems, image data processing, and medical information systems which give medical knowledge and information. This survey shows the doctors' opinions working in the hospitals where computer systems are already installed.
