Mechanisms of angle closure

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

Abstract

Several mechanisms are involved in ACG, including pupil block, ciliary body, and lens. LPI is the recommended treatment, even in the presence of plateau iris, although some angles may remain closed after treatment. Cataract extraction opens the angle and can lower IOP, but the risk-benefit profile needs to be considered.
