Abstract
To the Editor: We wish to report our findings in children with measles encephalitis who were included in a prospective study of 29 children presenting with acute encephalopathies at London hospitals. Our findings differ from those of Johnson et al. (Jan. 19 issue).1 Four patients in our study had measles encephalitis. Lymphocytes taken from them at presentation were incubated with myelin basic protein (provided by Dr. George Hashim, New York) in serum-free medium (Farrant J, et al.: unpublished data) at multiple concentrations (spanning those used by Johnson et al.) for 72 or 120 hours. There were no significant increases in.
