Lupus and pregnancy: Consensus and controversies

Abstract

Eighty-five percent of pregnancies are successful in women with systemic lupus erythematosus. However, pregnancy remains high-risk for the woman with lupus and for the fetus (because of an increased rate of fetal loss and preterm birth).
