Abstract
Psoriasis is currently considered an incurable skin disorder whose etiology is unknown. Psoriasis involves the epidermis and epidermal-dermal junction of interfollieular skin. This paper reports one patient in whom a partial-thickncss excision of a psoriatic scalp was done, permitting reepi thclialization from the deep dermal adncxac. A 4Vi-year follow-up documents a long-term remission of the psoriasis of the scalp.
