Abstract

Reported cases of Kawasaki disease have increased rapidly since the original description in 1967, but the etiology of this disorder continues to be a subject for speculation. This report describes a patient who fulfilled the criteria for Kawasaki disease and who had serological evidence of simultaneous or recent Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (RMSF).
