Abstract

Myocardial ischemia causes changes in the repolarization phase of the myocardium and the ST-segment of the ECG. From the European ST-T data base, 8 patients were analyzed for which a modified lead III and V3 or V4 were available. In all 8 patients ST and T changes were accompanied by intra-QRS changes in all subbands during the ST episode. A relative drop in the energy in subband LF was observed, often preceding the ST changes by 2-5 minutes.
