Intestinal obstructions due to primary neoplastic strictures of the bowel

Abstract

A review of the management of 208 patients with obstructing neoplastic strictures of the bowel is reported. The mortality rate was highest in patients beyond the age of 75 years and among patients in whom perforation with diffuse peritonitis had occurred. Recommendations for treatment are given.
