Abstract

Evaluation of the older male with inhibited sexual excitement is complex. Although we found the psychogenic subjects to be more anxious and depressed than those with biologic etiologies, the clinician cannot easily rely upon any one parameter. He or she needs to utilize psychological, psychometric, and biologic data, including the nocturnal penile tumescence studies.
