Abstract
Several major trials set to change clinical practice were reported at this year's European Society of Cardiology (ESC) annual congress, held 3-7 September, 2005, in Stockholm, Sweden. Other results presented included a study demonstrating the benefit of interventions in non-ST-elevation acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and final data from the ASCOT study confirming improved outcomes with newer antihypertensives.
