Abstract

The simultaneous development of digital clubbing, incapacitating arthralgias, and progressive pulmonary metastases was observed in a patient with endometrial carcinoma. Nuclide bone scan showed diffuse periosteal uptake along the tubular bones, the pattern which is typical of hypertrophic osteoarthropathy. Treatment with indomethacin rapidly relieved joint pain and swelling.
