Abstract
Fifty-two selected patients used Schiøtz tonometry at home with intraocular pressure readings being taken by a relative or friend. Home tonometry was useful to the ophthalmologist as a diagnostic aid, as a means to determine the adequacy of therapy, and as a source of reassurance to patients. Only three instances of complication were noted in this group.
