Abstract
▪ Robotic surgery has expanded the applications for minimally invasive gynecologic procedures. ▪ This affords patients who require more complex procedures, who are at higher risk, or whose surgeon feels less comfortable with laparoscopy the benefits of minimally invasive techniques. ▪ Where available, outcomes appear to be at least equivalent to those for laparoscopy. ▪ Robotic surgery will continue to have a significant impact on the field of gynecology as the technology continues to advance.
