N2 - Dysregulation of the TCA cycle and glutamine addiction are characteristic features of glutamine metabolism in cancers.Targeting glutamine metabolism in cancer includes inhibition of glutaminolysis by glutaminase inhibitors, combination therapy, knockdown of c-MYC, inhibition of GDH, depletion of glutamine supply, inhibition of glutamine uptake, and usage of glutamine analogs.Transaminase upregulation and targeting amino acid synthesis have potential for cancer therapy.
