Every hour of every day, critical care practitioners attempt the impossible, by trying to assimilate the amount of data available at the bedside of each critically ill patient. Within this review, the intent is to be persuasive, that although we care well for our patients, data overload is a significant problem. When this overload is appropriately controlled, we will be able to care for our patients significantly better.
