Abstract
Inhibitory seizures presenting as transient ischemic attacks are rare. This case illustrates the association of significant carotid stenosis, focal seizure activity over the ipsilateral motor strip and contralateral weakness. Inhibitory seizures briefly remitted with benzodiazepines, but chronic control of seizures and intermittent weakness occurred only after endarterectomy.
