Abstract

The HASTE MR sequence is a verstaile and fast MR scanning technique with applications in MR cholangiography and MR erography. Less well-established roles include gastroinestinal and fetal imaging. Specific advantages of the HASTE MR sequence include breath-hold image acquisition in just over 1 sec, lack of patient motion artifact, sensitivity to fluid, and sequential slice capability. Ongoing refinements in technology with increasing availability of MR imaging will broaden the role of fast MR imaging of the abdomen.
