Abstract

A case of false aneurysmal dissection, caused by misleading information from both color and Doppler sonographic signals, is described. Color Doppler duplex ultrasonography is helpful in assessing abdominal aortic aneurysm. However, in instances of symptomatic or complicated AAA, computer tomography should be relied on for a more complete evaluation of the aorta.
