Abstract
An experimental demonstration of a tomographic method for reconstructing the distribution of a fluorescent source embedded in a highly-scattering medium was presented. Experimental validation of an algorithm, which gives a direct solution to the reconstruction problem was reported. In conventional emission tomography, the spatial distribution of a radioactive source is imaged by using a standard tomographic image reconstruction.
