Abstract
The ideal treatment regimen for intracranial aneurysms remains controversial. The location and type of aneurysm, the surgeon's experience, and the patient's medical condition influence the decision to treat aneurysms by an endovascular or microsurgical approach. The details of the natural history and epidemiology of intracranial cerebral aneurysms are discussed elsewhere in this encyclopedia. This section explores endovascular treatment options for the management of these aneurysms.
