Abstract

Cases of primary carcinoma of the duodenum, carcinoma of the pancreas directly invading the duodenum and metastatic carcinoma of the lung involving the duodenum, diagnosed by endoscopy, are reported. Duodenoscopy, with biopsy and cytological study, is a reliable method for the differentiation between benign and malignant disease of the duodenum, thus allowing the appropriate selection of the medical, surgical or combined management of the individual patient.
