Abstract
To the Editor: We have read with interest the letter by Dr. William G. Crook, president, Child Health Centers of America, Incorporated, of Jackson, Tennessee, entitled “Personnel for Health Centers,” in the issue of December 11, 1969 (p 1372). Dr. Crook has referred to the difficulties associated with introducing unskilled persons, recruited from the slum community, who have been trained to work in the health centers. Admittedly, this has been a difficult task, but it has also been most rewarding to some of us. It is our view that we have achieved creditable results in recruiting almost 100 unemployed or ….
